Romans chapter number eight and verse 11. And then we'll go to Acts, chapter number two one through four, Romans eight and 11. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Acts, chapter number two, verses one through four. When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

Suddenly, a sound like a blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Family, I want to tag a text, a title to this text this morning that simply says, I've been lit. As you take your seats, just tell your neighbor I've been lit.

You'll understand in a second. I've been lit.

Family. Pentecost Sunday is not just the birthday of the church. It's the day that the church received power to rise. It's the day that Jesus promise in John chapter number four 14, became a reality, where he says, I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate or comforter to help you and be with you forever. He lives with you and will be in you.

That day came that Jesus talked about. And when that day came, the wind came and the fire fell and the house shook, and the Holy Spirit did not visit them, but it filled them. But here is the tension in that understanding. Too many of us celebrate Pentecost as a past event, never walk in its present power. In other words, we believe in the moment, but we don't live in the movement that Pentecost brought.

We talk about the upper room, we sing about the upper room, we preach about the upper room, but we live like God never left the tomb. I know, I know. We live in a full downward momentum in this world, falling expectations and falling standards and falling strength and falling expectations and faith even. But Pentecost reminds us that God didn't leave us without power. Tell the person next to you, you've got power.

Yeah, you've got power. Whether you know it or not, you got power. You were not saved to stay stuck, but you were filled with the Holy Spirit so that you could rise. You don't have to live burnt out. And you don't have to live checked out or even tapped out.

He said, sent the Holy Spirit to raise us not just from sin, but to Raise us into strength. See, oftentimes what we do is we look for power in the wrong places. We think we need more followers, or we think we need more money or more credentials or more motivation. But According to Romans 8 and 11, we already have been given sign, something that makes everything else secondary. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you right now.

Yeah, you gotta let that sink in for a second. The same spirit that defeated or defied death and walked into a sealed tomb lives inside of you. The same spirit that reversed rigor mortis lives inside of you. The same spirit that shattered hell's plans lives inside of you. And breathe life into a breathless body now lives in you.

Please understand, this is not just religious rhetoric. This is not just hype. This is the resurrection reality. You're not waiting for fire from the outside. You are already carrying the flame on the inside.

The flame is with you wherever you go. Look at somebody and tell them, I came in hot. Yeah, I don't have to wait till I get here to get hot. I came in hot. I drove my car hot.

I walked on the parking lot hot. I go to my job hot. I came in hot.

You are not waiting for the fire. You're walking in the fire. You're not looking to be filled. You're living at the filling that Jesus gave you. The same spirit that raised Jesus, not a knockoff, not a lesser version, not a junior Holy Ghost.

The same spirit lives in you. So my question this morning is, why are we still living as if we're spiritually powerless?

You are not just saved to go to heaven.

You are empowered to bring heaven to earth. You are empowered to bring heaven into your job and into your home and into your calling and into your everyday life. That is why you are saved. You don't just carry emotion. You carry resurrection energy wherever you go.

It's not a vibe. It's not a power or a presence. You got resurrection power, power on the inside of you. You don't just have faith. You have fire.

Tell the person next to you the tomb is empty, and now so are your excuses. Yeah, the tomb is empty, so your excuses are empty. You don't need external height when you have an internal fire, fire burning on the inside of you. And the question is not God, will you move? The question that we have to ask and answer is, will you let what's already on the inside of me come alive in this day that I'm living in?

Will you let this Holy Ghost fire come alive in me when I walk up and down the street when I handle business, will you let the Holy Ghost fire come alive? Because I believe far too many of us are living like we're waiting on something from the outside to light us up. When the truth is you're already carrying the fire. And here is where we miss it. Church.

Because we keep waiting for the moment when the Spirit has already come and manifested himself in us. We treat the Holy Spirit sometimes like a special guest. We act like he visits us only on Sunday, but forgets that he dwells with us every other day of the week.

Which brings us to our first truth this morning. The Spirit doesn't just visit, he dwells. The Spirit doesn't just visit us. He dwells. The Bible says it in Acts, chapter number two.

The same spirit that filled the upper room didn't check in and check out. He didn't stop by for a moment. He moved in. Somebody say moved in? Romans 8, 11, say he lives in you.

That word lives is not casual or temporary. It is permanent. You are not a weekend rental. You are not a spiritual Airbnb. You are the temple of the living.

God has chosen to dwell in you. Stop living like you're waiting for visitation and start walking around like the habitation of the Holy Ghost lives off inside of you already. I told you last week. Do you not know that your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit? Who is in you now?

Nudge your neighbor. Say he's in you now. Yes, he's in you now. See? Watch it, watch it.

We don't. We don't talk enough about this. We don't. We don't talk enough about this because they sent the Holy Spirit to rebuild you from the inside out.

Notice Paul didn't say that the Spirit is around you.

The spirit is not a guest.

He's not a spiritual consultant that shows up for a revival or when the organ hits the right chord. He is a resident, a full time partner. He is the power that all of us need. You do not chase or need to chase a feeling or wait for the atmosphere to be just right. You are already carrying everything you need to walk in victory.

Did you hear what I just said? I said you already have everything you need to walk in victory. Let me prove it to you. Because this is a Bible Church. Second Peter 1 and 3 says his divine power has given.

Given us everything we need for life and godliness. In other words, the power is on the inside of you already. Somebody shout, I got the power. Oh, you didn't shout it. Shout, I got the power.

That means you're not lacking anything. You already loaded with everything. I dare somebody to confess it. I'm not lacking. I'm loaded.

Yeah, I don't know who needs that? But I'm not lacking. I'm loaded. You are not powerless, you just not plugged in. But the moment you get plugged in, you'll realize I'm not lacking anything.

In other words. In other words, in other words, it's time to stop living like a spiritual beggar. When you are carrying resurrection power power on the inside of you, you don't need to walk around. I'm not about to walk around here like I'm on spiritual life support. And every day I'm going up the rough side of the mountain and every day it's a problem.

The devil is a lie. I got some supernatural power on the inside of me where I can command the devil to go and the devil has to go. I can command things to come come. And the things that I command, they have to come.

I am not on spiritual life support. I have the divine voltage of God living on the inside of me.

See, watch it. See, we, we, we quote it and we shout about it. Ephesians, chapter number one 19 and 2020. But Paul says, I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. In other words, you gotta believe you got the power before you see the manifestation power.

If you don't think you have power, nothing from nothing leaves nothing. But the moment you start walking around realizing I got power on the inside of me, why am I dealing with this? Why am I putting up with this? I got power on the inside of me. Somebody shout power.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead. It's not on hold, it's not on layaway. That power is living in you now.

Which means that salvation becomes more, more than just about going to heaven, but it becomes about living in victory right now. Cuz some people can't wait to get to heaven cuz they can't see themselves living in victory right now. But I'm going to go to heaven and I'm going to live in victory right now.

See? See, too often we treat the Holy Spirit like a phone charger, something that we plug into when our battery is low. We treat them like a, a charger that when we're having a bad moment, I guess I gotta plug into the power source. But a Romans 8:11 is telling us that he's not your power or your charger. He is your generator.

You know a generator. When everything else goes out, the generator keeps everything going. So when hell and high water comes, the power on the inside of me keeps me going. Yeah. Everybody else look like they can't make it, but I can walk with my head up because I got a generator on the inside of me.

When the devil says no, the generator says, God has already said yes.

He doesn't top you off, he keeps you going. The Holy Ghost is not my accessory. He's my power source. I was telling somebody this week, I have to live every single day of my life plugged into the power source. I don't want to go one day without the power source.

Ephesians. We know Ephesians chapter number three and 20 theoretically, but we have not learned or tapped into it experientially. Now, unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly, above all, one translation says immeasurably more than we can ask or think according to the power. Watch it. That works in us.

So if I want to have the power to work for me, I got to work the power that's on the inside of me.

Is this making sense? The power isn't around you. It's not reserved for just the prayer team that's on the front. It's working in every believer that says yes to Jesus and have been baptized in the Holy Spirit. It's in you right now.

And here is what I want to say. Many of us are not walking around powerless as we believe. We are just spiritually underdeveloped.

But I came this morning to tell you it's time to activate what's already inside you. The reason that some of us are still stuck in dead patterns is not because God hasn't moved. It's because we haven't activated what's already already on the inside of us.

The Spirit did not just come to dwell so that we can live a defeated life, but he came so that he could dominate our lives. Influence your thoughts, influence your decisions, influence your relationships, orchestrate the impact that you are supposed to make in this world. And when we realize who's living in us, we will stop waiting for the power to fall and start walking around like it's already in us.

And I don't have to wait for somebody else. I can take my whole hand myself and lay hands on my own body, lay hands on my own child, lay hands on my own pot, money and bank account. And everything that is pertaining to me, I can declare and decree that the power will make it come alive.

Somebody Say yes. Say it again. Say yes. Watch it. Number two.

Prepared places attract divine power. Only prepared places attract divine power. Acts chapter number two does not start with fire and tongues, but it begins with alignment. They were all together one place. This is not just about geography, but this is about unity and obedience.

Jesus told them, stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high. So they waited. They didn't have a countdown clock. They didn't have the details. They didn't know how long it was going to take or what it would look like.

They didn't know the timing, but they trusted the promise and they stayed in position. And suddenly the wind filled the room. Here's what we learned from this. That the wind did not come because they were the most talented. The fire did not fall because they were perfect.

The Spirit came in that room because they were available.

Isaiah chapter number 40, verse 29 says, he gives strength to the weary, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They waited in worship, not in worry. And they were united in the Spirit. They weren't distracted by self. They weren't thinking about who sees me and who's going to call my name.

But they were all in place, waiting on the promise to show up. And the Spirit showed up on purpose. Because here's what I found. When you stay in position long enough, God will breathe on your patience. When you wait on God long enough, when you determine, I'm not going to move until you bless me.

I'm not going to move until you give me an answer. And some of us in this place are on the edge of a suddenly. And God sent me to prophesy and tell you, don't leave that room too early. Don't leave that prayer room too early. Don't leave that fasting room too early.

Don't leave it too early. Look at somebody and say, don't leave that room too early. Don't leave the room too early.

You're suddenly might be one room away.

You may not see the movement right now. You may feel overlooked. You may feel underused, weary, waiting on God. God, when are you gonna come through for me? I see you moving for other people, but when are you gonna come through for me?

When are you gonna answer my prayer? When am I gonna have to stop dealing with this and dealing with that? When I. When am I going to have to stop crying myself to sleep at night? When am I going to have to stop stressing over these bills and these kids and this job?

When are you going to come through for Me hear this this morning. If you are still in position, if you are still saying yes to God, if your heart is still postured towards him. God told me to tell you the wind is on the way. I don't know who this is for, but. But he said the wind is on the way.

And when it comes, it's not going to just refresh you, but it's going to release you into the power and the presence that God has for you. Somebody throw your hands up and thank God for the wind coming in your life.

God, we thank you for your win. You're not just waiting on a good feeling. You're not just waiting on God's breath. You're waiting for God to reframe your assignment. Because listen to me.

When God breathes, something is going to break. When God breathes, something is going to be birthed. When God breathes, something is going to begin. And this is the reason why some of us have been feeling disruption in this season. It's not because God has left us.

It's because God's wind just arrived. And sometime before God blesses you, he has to blow through and break up some stuff that no longer serves you. You've been trying to hold on to it, but he said, I'm sending a wind that's going to break up the fallow ground and break up those relationships and break up the things that do not serve you anymore so that my purpose can be available in your life.

This is not just a physical statement. This is a spiritual principle. They weren't just present in the same room. They were aligned in the same spirit.

God didn't send the wind where there was division.

He sent it where people were dedicated to lock in together. This is why you can't afford to be at odds with anybody because you might be missing out on your blessing while you sitting there having an attitude with somebody else and looking at them sideways and talking about them. You're mishandling your own blessing.

Jesus told them, wait in Jerusalem until they were clothed with power and they didn't leave. They didn't complain. They waited in place. Some of us want God's power to show up in our lives, but we're unwilling to sit long enough until he shows up. The wind didn't come because they were special.

It came because they were prepared. And here's what I love. They didn't have to conjure up the wind. They didn't have to manipulate the moment they were in place. And they simply stayed faithful.

And God breathed and the wind came carrying purpose why? Because whenever the wind shows up, it doesn't come in the empty handed. It always carries an assignment, an activation. Ezekiel 37. God tells the prophet to call for the wind.

And when the wind come, dry bones become an army. Genesis 2 and 7. God breathes into Adam. And when he does, Adam becomes a living soul. From Genesis to Acts.

God breathes to build, not just to bless.

You might feel like not much is happening right now. You might feel like nothing is coming through for me. But if you are in place and you're obedient and waiting with expectation, the wind is coming.

If you want to be breathed on, you have to be in place. Look at somebody and say, get in place. The Spirit won't feel what isn't willing. But he breathes where there's readiness and receptiveness. Can we go a little bit deeper?

Number three. The Spirit doesn't just fall, he feels. I said the Spirit doesn't just fall, he filled. Watch. Verse 3, it says, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.

We can't skip over this because all of them were filled. Not just Peter, not just the loudest person, not just most spiritual looking person. Not the ones that knew all of the scripture, the one that looked apart on Sundays. No, everyone that was in position received power. They were all different, had all different backgrounds, all different personalities, different issues.

But one spirit, one win and one feeling. Because when the Holy Spirit falls, he is not looking for perfection. He is looking for preparation and positioning. And what was that power for? If you look at Acts 1 and 8, he says, you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.

And you will be my witnesses. The Holy Spirit Spirit is not just for shouting. The Holy Spirit is for sending us to be witnesses in this earth.

And they begin to speak as the Spirit enabled them. Notice the order. Notice the order. The Spirit filled them before he flowed through them.

Put that on. Tick tock. The Spirit filled them before flowing through them. Because now people want him to flow through them and haven't been filled by him. But they were filled.

Then they flow before they preached, before Peter stepped out, before 3,000 souls were saved, they were filled with the Spirit. Why is this important? Because you can't pour from an empty vessel. You cannot walk in kingdom Confidence. If you are full of carnality of the world.

You got to be filled with the Spirit of God. It's not about prodigious producing revival on a rehearsed religion. Two fast songs and one slow song. The Holy Spirit does not come just to decorate our lives. He comes to dominate our direction.

And when you really get filled, your speech will change, your posture will shift, your cravings will be rewired. When you really get filled, your convictions will deepen.

Because filled people don't just shout on Sunday, they obey on Monday.

Field people apologize quickly. Filled people know how to say I'm sorry. Filled people know how to say, I was wrong. Filled people say, I shouldn't have said that and I shouldn't have done that. Filled people forgive freely.

Not until you pay, not until you have the punishment because you did me wrong. They serve joyfully and they do what God tells them to do. Can I tell you, you don't need a title to walk in power. You just need good feeling of the Holy Ghost. When you have a good feeling of the Holy Ghost, you'll walk in power.

And there's. Here's the reality. The reality is, is that we have a whole lot of people that know how to do church but don't know about God.

We, we live in a culture and in a time where people know how to do church, but they still don't know how to walk in change.

They learn how to attend a service, but have not learned how to surrender to the Holy Ghost. We learn how to perform, but have not submitted to the person of the Spirit having a form of godliness, but divine, denying the power thereof. There's too many people that memorize the liturgy, the scripture, but miss the life giving Spirit. How is it that you sitting under all that word and still nothing change? How is it that you shouting and saying Amen and you singing and doing all these things and you still walking around in unforgiveness and still walking around holding grudges because somebody did you wrong.

How? How? Because I know God. I. I know church, but I don't know God.

I'm convinced that the problem with a whole lot of us is we need a fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost. You don't need another conference, you don't need another service. You need a fresh filling of the Holy Ghost. You don't need more religion. You, you need a real relationship with the Holy Ghost.

Because you can tell people to have a relationship with the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit on the inside of you will convict you before anybody say anything to you.

That's why we don't need better sermons. We need a fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Because when the Spirit feels you, he'll make you walk, right. When the Spirit feels you, he'll make you talk right? When the Spirit feels you, he'll make you live and lead right? When the Spirit fills you, you'll go from knowing about God to walking in step with Him. So the question is not, have you heard about Pentecost?

The question I have is, have you been filled with the Holy Ghost? So what happens after the filling? If we look back at the text in verse two, it says they begin to speak as the Spirit enabled them. They were filled with the Holy Ghost as spoke the word of God with boldness. Here's what this tells us.

That the Spirit did not fill them so that they can sit quietly, but he filled them so that they can communicate the Gospel with boldness. Somebody shout boldness.

And that same Spirit fills us. Today still breathes, today still speaks through ordinary people like you and I. The Holy Spirit did not come just to make noise, but it came to send messengers. What happened in Acts chapter number two was not emotional hype. Some people say, you all emotional over there.

It's all right, say what you want to say. I'm moving by the Holy Ghost. It don't take all of that. It takes that from me. What happened was not emotional hype.

This was the inaugural kingdom activation of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. They didn't just shout, they spoke with authority. They didn't just fill, but they fulfilled the mission that had God had given them to fulfill. The breath of God didn't just give them tongues, but it also gave them some tenacity. Because whenever you are filled with the Holy Ghost, whenever you are on the Lord's side, you going to endure some opposition from the devil.

But they spoke with boldness. They stood in front of the mockers that told them that they were crazy. They begin to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Joel 2 and 28 says, I will pour my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. That means the Spirit gives voice or prophetic weight to your voice.

In other words, gives your life an urgency. Words of divine purpose were breathed on them. Not so they could be silent, not so they could walk in fear, not so they could be passive. But for boldness. Somebody say boldness.

You are not filled to fit in.

You supposed to stand out in this way world.

The breath God gave you, the fire he gave you. It's time for us to make bold moves with both of them. Stop saying I'm not ready. Stop saying I'm not qualified. Stop discrediting what God has already deposited in your spirit.

You don't need more confirmation. What we need is courage. Somebody lift your hands and Say God, give me courage. Say it again. Say God give me courage.

Because if God breathed on you, he's already placed what you need inside of you. And now it's our turn to fan the flame.

You've been lit, but now you got to fan the flame.

Second Timothy 1 and 6 says fan the flame. The gift of God that is within you, stir up the gift. Paul told Timothy you God lit the fire, but it's your job to stir it up.

Paul didn't say you create the fire, he said you stir it up. In other words, God lit it, but we got to feed the fire. So let me ask you a question. What are you doing to fan the flame? How are you feeding the fire that God placed on on the inside of you?

Because don't miss. This fire dies from neglect. It does not die from an attack. Your fire dies from neglect.

Some of us keep saying I just don't feel close to God. I feel like something is missing. But what that really means is I haven't been fanning the flame. Ask your neighbor where them fans at.

What? What do you mean? What do you mean, Pastor, how do you fan the flame? You fan the flame by prioritizing prayer.

Cuz prayer is a fan.

Have you ever dragged yourself out of bed not really wanting to pray, but you knew you needed to pray and by the time you got about 10 minutes into that prayer, it was like you felt some energy that you have never felt before. That's not caffeine, that's the spirit of God quickening your mortal body. When you get up and pray and you prioritize prayer, you will energize and fan the flame of of the fire that's on the inside of you.

Watch it. Here's another Fan worship is a fan. When you worship without needing music, that's a fan. Anybody, anybody ever had one of those good worships where you start worshiping while you was in the car and almost had to pull over because your eyes got filled with so much the glory just came in. Or you was in the shower and you almost slipped because you didn't realize that the glory had come in there.

Or you got on your knees in a place that you wouldn't normally get on your knees. What you're doing is you're stirring up the gift of God that's on the inside of you fanning the flames. Watch it. Here's a third one. If you're taking notes.

Discipline is a fan.

Discipline is a fan. When I let God know that you are my priority and everything that you tell me to do, I'm going to do it. When I eat like my I. I believe my body is the temple of the living God. That's a fan, that's stirring up the gift of God that's on the inside of me.

When I serve God, tired, weak, going through, but I serve him anyway. I'm stirring up the gift of God. Supernaturally, he gives you energy. Supernaturally, when I'm serving, a fireplace doesn't keep itself burning. What did I say?

You have to add logs. You got to stroke the flame. You got to remove the ashes. If you got a log burning flame. If you got a gas fireplace, you still got to turn it on.

You still got to open the chute. So you got to do something right the likewise, the Holy Spirit that lives inside of you.

But your daily decisions determine the strength of your flame. So the question is not do you have power? The question is, are you walking like you have power?

What's the habit? What's the decision that's been smothering your flame? Is your fire fading out?

Is it going dim? If you say my fire is fading, the problem is not his presence. The problem may be the practice of you not stirring that fire. Stand with me all over this place.

The same spirit that raised Jesus, the same, same spirit that fell at Pentecost, that spirit lives in you. Romans 8 and 11 is not the suggestion. It is a reality that we have been lit from the inside. That we are filled with resurrection power. That we are carriers of God's presence.

So what does that mean for your Monday through Saturday? You pray like you got access. You show up to work like you got power on the inside of you. You raise your children like you have clarity. Pursue the things that God has given you to pursue, like it's already burning on the inside of you because you've been lit for a reason.

You've been breathed on with purpose. Father, we thank you today. We thank you for the fire that doesn't fade. We thank you, God, for the breath that does not run out. We thank you for sending your Holy Spirit.

Not just visitation, but habitation. Dwelling with us today. We confess we don't want to just have church. We want to be the church. The church that's empowered by your spirit.

We pray right now all over this building. Every hand that's raised, every heart that's open, we pray right now for a fresh filling of your spirit. Breathe on our dry places. Ignite our discouraged places. Fan into flame every dormant gift that's on the inside of us.

Let us leave this moment not just inspired, but let us leave activated and remind us every single day that the same spirit that raised Jesus lives on the inside of us. So we're not walking in fear, but we're walking in faith. We're not waving to move, waiting to move, but we're making power moves. Use us for your glory. We thank you for this.
